hmm, this does execute cpuid without checking if it is supported at all if i 
understand it correctly, afaik cpuid is newer 486 and later cpu only so it 
will fail on 386/some 486 ... i guess noone tried mplayer on a 386 yet ;) or 
didnt care that it didnt work ...
