the last sentence isn't very clear to me....what does it mean that the
exceeding channels are truncated?

let's say i have a movie with 6channels audio ( 5.1 ).... now i only
have 2 speakers, so i specify -channels 2.... now as i understand the
doc says that 4 channels will get dropped... but afaik it's not the
case... the 5.1 channels will get somehow mixed into 2, or don't?

so i suggest to make this sentence more clear....
