Correction:

It now works fine if I play a single movie.  If I play more than one
movie in a row I still get an error message:

xscreensaver: already running on display :0.0 (window 0x800001)
 from process 1461 (diego at silver).

This goes away with -fixed-vo, so I suppose there should be a check in
there that only enables the screensaver again after the last movie has
been played.
