That's what I meant.  My point is: Do we have to cater to the users
that have these nonstandard and (arguably) wrongly named files?  Are
.divx files really that common?  I have not come across one yet.

Maybe I'm taking a somewhat purist stance here.  I don't have strong
feelings either way, but I feel it is worth discussing.  Do the other
movie players offer .divx in their file picker?
