Excellent, but documenting this also in DOCS/tech/vop.txt will earn
you extra points ;-)

Yes, this redundancy will have to go away soon, I promise to have a
look at it when I'm back from work after next week.

Then again you might bully people into speeding this process up by
simply refusing to update vop.txt any longer, maybe somebody starts
merging them earlier then.
