I don't see any conclusive evidence there.  Gabucino issuing the words 
"Please stop that." on mplayer-users is hardly enough.

I care, others do also care.  This is not about truth or being right,

No.  Please let's not start _another_ flame war about this.  We've had 
more than our share of them already.
Besides, it was me who added those lines to documentation.html.  I 
should be free to remove them again, shouldn't I ;-)
