1000% agreed.  Filters are mostly unknown territory in the 
documentation.  Please do come up with something.

I don't see why you shouldn't write it into the manual directly.  If you 
don't feel confident enough or do not wish to struggle with HTML, send a 
patch or write up some text that can be used as a starting point.

BTW, are you a native English speaker?  I suppose so, but you can never 
be sure.
