well, there are some hacks to do it, after al mplayer supports vorbis in avi 
=) IIRC there are two flavours, the first one I once implemented stored the 
first ogg packet in the avi header and the later ones in the audio track, 
note that those were not pure vorbis but vorbis audio encapsulated in ogg 
packets.
