Why are you adding flac into mplayer???
It is not essetial for the most videos out there.
I have flac that comes with my distribution, so i can
say that it is very popular library. It distribution
is not limited by patents (AFAIK).
If you have fixes for flac that are not in the main flac
tree why don't you send them to flac project.
Are you going to maintain and sync mpflac regulary?

Don't forget faad was added becouse they don't have working unix release
and their cvs is usually broken.
