Dunno, besides my monitor doesn't do DDC over BNC component cabling, my shiny 
new 16:9 Widescreen-TV doesn't either =) Besides quering DDC would have to be 
done over a non common api with possibly direct access to hw, vesa driver 
probably could do it...
