Yes, yes, I know all of this, the vowel length was the first thing I
thought of when I first saw the line. My point is that this level of
nitpicking is not either necessary or IMO desirable for the case at
hand, and especially not for the CVS-log list; if you think it's
important enough to warrant discussion, the development list would be
more appropriate, though because it's so minor I'd be even more
reluctant to bring it up there.

Geesh. Bloody approximations... cause so much trouble, both in *and* out
of adherence to the rule...
