I'd suggest "Please note that "as soon as possible" can be", et cetera.
Otherwise, the pronoun "this" has no strictly clear antecedent. (Or
rather, as I understand it the strict antecedent would be "the act of
adding the "pausing" prefix", which of course is not what is intended.)
