Sounds like a good idea to me. It's also possible to convert CVS
repositories to SVN repositories. It worked well for the VideoLAN
guys. I'll get to play around with it for work in the near future.

That's still not perfect since you get several messages for commits to
several directories.

Neither does SVN. And as stated above, I think it is a bad idea to
begin with.
