Well, it avoids the stupid bugs that crop up from time to time and
everyone except oneself will see in a few seconds.
And (if you give enough time like e.g. one week) it means nobody can
reasonably be angry with you for committing. Which in itself IMHO really
is worth something, in the long term it leads to a better climate.
I am really grateful for those people who unlike me just go ahead and do
something instead of waiting forever for the perfect solution, but
sometimes I find it really hard not to get angry - at least I find this
disregard for CVS policy really rude (there is still the possibility of
changing it - or sometimes, even better, to officially become a maintainer).
