Improving your imagination is a lifelong task for all of us.  You now
have a golden opportunity to beef up yours.

Commit messages are an absolutely essential part of the code's
documentation.  You cannot seriously be suggesting to truncate them to
one line no matter the cost for no other reason than to avoid spawning
an editor.  Benjamin, you must be joking.
