I didn't.
Anyway, the problem is that they are not generally buggy, at least the
rv3040 codec to my knowledge crashes consistently on multi-core systems,
we seem to do something wrong that causes issues when they try to use
multi-threaded decoding.
It might simply be time to make the FFmpeg decoders the default, even if
they may have a few visual problems...
