First, I only know bugs for MPEG-4 and possibly VC-1.
That still leaves the others with no know bugs, if that
stays like that maintaining 2 is still more reasonable than 4.
But long-term the real question is which one _will_ have
fewer bugs, not which one _has_ fewer bugs right now.
Though I just implemented a work-around for a bug in the
old MPEG-1/2 one, so it does have at least one know bug
now, too, which we just never noticed due to the specific
way we used the code in.
Either way, if it wasn't so ugly due to the codecs.conf syntax that
results in huge copy-paste I would have suggested a both
old and new entry and map the one that works best to without
