Thanks. I already read those 3 or 4 linked issues on GitHub openjpeg.

I couldn't really understand what's going on though. At least I read
those issues as not using OPJ_STATIC to be the solution. For non-static
linking against OpenJPEG I presume.

Originally OPJ_STATIC was introduced to FFmpeg by merging this commit:

    commit 0f0d1d056e1a3ad3db32b7d1a06286b2841e91b1
    Date:   Sat Mar 22 20:16:44 2014 +0100
    
        configure: Always use -DOPJ_STATIC when checking for openjpeg
    
        Unbreaks windows systems not providing pkgconf files.


In MPlayer we had OPJ_STATIC from the beginning if I am not mistaken.
