Of course. But it's a reason for this (CommitCOunter) name :)

AV sync cannot be solved without a major rewrite of the whole audio playback
and sync code.

This 0.18 "release" is more like a service pack 1 for 0.17a, because
it only contains bugfixes (see Known bugs postings on the users list)
