If they do the conversion it will of course speed up things...
of course at worst case i'll do everything as usual.

anyway, if someone starts porting a codec, tell me (to list) it
before start working, so no duplicated work happens.

i think i really should put some docs together about new codec
interface, as there are some non-trivial flags.
