Short form for PowerPC: Superscalar 32 bit RISC CPUs manufactured by IBM
and Motorola with a load-store architecture. Most commonly found in
Apple machines (older ones have 601s, 602s, 603(e)s, 604s, 750s (G3)),
in current machines the G4 is used (7400, 7410, 7450, 7451, 7460) which
additionally sports a SIMD unit with 32 128bit registers called AltiVec.
