Nice work, I had that .s/.S thing in mind at some time, but seems I forgot it 
later :(

Can you please remake the patch without changing filename extensions, and add 
a list of which files need to be renamed? I will then ask Arpi to rename the 
files in CVS after commiting. This way CVS log doesn't get broken.
