no, i had the same problem, and i just wanted to check a few .mov files from 
incoming (dunno whats wrong with them as the user didnt mention it, but i 
just thought it might be mpeg4 related ...well ls -alF 101.mov says
-rw-------    1 ftp      ftp        204800 Oct  1 19:42 101.mov
