yes you're right, i didn't check that only the patch. patch applied...

btw i've tried alsa9 0.9.0rc3 today but something must be wrong.
wiht -ao alsa9 i get:

alsa-init: testing and bugreports are welcome.
alsa-init: requested format: 48000 Hz, 2 channels, Signed 16-bit (Little-Endian)
alsa-init: no soundcards found: Success
                                ^^^^^^^ huh?
couldn't open/init audio device -> no sound
Audio: no sound!!!

but if i load the oss wrapper, it works with -ao oss, so the driver
(emu10k1, for old sb live) works but something is wrong woth ao_alsa9 or the
alsa interface/driver itself?
