Under Gentoo:

uhmmmm at uhmmmm uhmmmm $ type fbset
fbset is /usr/bin/fbset
uhmmmm at uhmmmm uhmmmm $ ls /usr/sbin/fbset
ls: /usr/sbin/fbset: No such file or directory
