yes. there were several such messy patches and they are all ignored/refused.
search the fuckin archive why.
and ppl just keep sending these and don't realize we don't want them.

the new demuxer layer will have a function to get various movie info, like
movie length, time or file position etc. then there will be ok to implement
a single slavemode function to query these infos in a parseable form.
