Unfortunately I'll be away over the weekend. When I'm back I'll try to
figure out when the segfault was first "introduced" in CVS.

I don't :) I try to scale the NTSC MPG from 352:240 to 320:240 as you
can see on my command line (copied from earlier mails):

(gdb) r -nosound -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=700:vhq:vqmin=2:vpass=1 -o /dev/null -vop scale=320:240 charmed.504-short.mpg

I wondered about d_width/d_height myself....
