Ah, I think I maybe see something now I didn't before.  I had a script
running mplayer -vo yuv4mpeg output through a fifo, while catting the
fifo into another app.  With most of my DVD's, cat would die somewhere
in there.  Could this PTS reset cause the YUV file to be closed, opened?
