I don't remember trying with Apple X11, but it didnd't work
IIRC with Xfree86. Don't think it would be faster than
SDL quicktime stuff anyway (but I may be wrong).

I think the 'best' way would be to rip-off the Quartz/Quicktime
stuff from either SDL or VideoLan Client, to bypass all the layers
of portability.

IIRC it was not perfect, as some QT functions were showing up
in the profile. OTOH it was not much compared to the cost
of the YUV conversion :-(
