btw, .so found another problem while tetsing your patch, but not related to
it:

cd /tmp
mplayer /path/to/playlist.m3u

and the .m3u file has only filenames wiht no path, but mplayer trie sto open
them at 'cwd' instead of at /path/to/ :(
it did work some time ago.

it is not a fatal bug, but it may render the gui useless when come to
playlists.

i even remember Atmos fixing it to cut paths if the filenames in the
playlist contained path too.

Fabian, could you check and maybe fix it? :)
