At least 1000l... :( And I still think its nonsense that it looks for
a file named "subfont.ttf", since its just passed to freetype and
could just as easily be a type1 font. IMHO just plain "subfont" or
"ftfont" or something would be a much better name.

I think the OSD font is builtin to the mplayer binary.
