Hmm ? gcc3 specific ?
Then i would leave it as inline, because this code is enabled for all
non-intel little endian machines (ok, only alpha and mips come to my
mind at this our, but there are more for sure), so it should be possible
to compile it also with a non-gcc compiler.

Beside, surfstation has only a 2.95.4 ;)

Emacs ist für mich kein Editor. Für mich ist das genau das gleiche, als wenn
ich nach einem Fahrrad (für die Sonntagbrötchen) frage und einen pangalaktischen
Raumkreuzer mit 10 km Gesamtlänge bekomme. Ich weiß nicht, was ich damit soll.
