actually there was a such optimization compo at the LinuxTag event this
weekend, and the MPlayer Team (actually a small part of it: Atmos, Alex,
Jonas Jermann and Koth?) got the 2nd place :)

(the winner got a p4 notebook)

Unfortunatelly I (nor Michael) were not there, otherwise we may win it :)

so it isn't 100% offtopic :)
