I'm not 100% sure it's correct so i don't apply it to 0_90, as it's in code
freezee state (only trivial and critical fixes may go in, after some testing
in 'main' tree).

Such makefile changes caused lots of problems in the past, so unless it's
really required (i don't think so - never seen any bugreports about it) i
vote against it.
