I tried it yesterday, but was only able to apply the patches against rc5.
Only one chunk failed, which was then applied by hand.
I tried some DVD's, in the first which has a very static menu the menu
appears for half a second and then the movie begins (The Devil's own (R2))
The second, (Mr. Bean's 10th anniversary vol.3) has a static menu with
a small selection that you can choose one of the 5 episodes.
The same thing, menu appears for half a second and then the first
episode begins...
The third, (Harry Potter) the initial video runs, the menu appears even
with the moving water, but nothing seems to work. (this one i must check
again this evening)
What can I do to help debug this? Do you want some .IFO files?
Thanks for working on DVDNAV!

Subject: [MPlayer-dev-eng] [PATCH] DVDnav support
Hello all!
A friend of mine asked if he could "navigate" with MPlayer.
So here is patch against current CVS, which integrates libdvdnav
(current CVS) into
MPlayer. (Integration is needed, to get rid of dependancy on system
libdvdread (libdvdnav does that)).
Also fixed some bugs/obsoletenesses, connected to it.
It doen't work perfectly ( It runs ok on 3.5 from 4 DVD's I checked.)
If somebody wants to test, etc.: directory libmpdvdkit2 must be renamed
to libmpdvdkit3
(It's third generation of mpdvdkit, it contains 3 libraries, etc).
If bzip2'ed ptah is problem, I could send gzipped one (dunno if 60k
patch could pass to this list).
BTW: After finishing translation, I'll probably concentrace on dvdnav,
so this is only first patch.
BTW2: If somebody will want to commit it to CVS(what a strange idea:),
suppose it must be added
with -kb flags, for not killing libdvdnav's internal log.
---
With best wishes
Dmitry
