[MPlayer-dev-eng] Compiling Problems

Hi all,

trying to compile mplayer I got this error.

gcc -c -O4 -march=k6-3 -mcpu=k6-3 -pipe -ffast-math -fomit-frame-pointer

I searched various archives and found thatothers reported similar errors but 
not this particular one.
I'd be glad if someone coud give me a hint how to fix this.

prcessor is : K6- 3D+ 460 MHz
gcc is : 3.3
os is : SuSE 8.2 kernel 2.4.20 
binutils are : 2.12.90.0.15 -40
