IMHO this should be to the -users ml instead... 

But to answer your question, I'm not sure if RealOne can handle mpeg2, AFAIR the one on my NT4 machine only handles mpeg1.  Might be my system, but who knows for sure.  Does the stream work in any other apps? (wmp, mplayer, etc). Check the real site, they may be able to help with specs on what realone can/can't handle.
