Generating proto.h is pretty easy. awk -f mkproto.h $(SRCS) >proto.h
I'm still, however, not sure which is better, but starting to think
autogenerating is better, as proto.h seems to be a bit outdated. It does
not contain prototypes for 2 functions in schema.c and one in querry.c.
It also doesn't contain prototypes for anything in vstream.c, but that
may be intentional (I don't see why however).
