Look, you are not anymore a developer, you cannot force us to do
anything. Since you left, i've only seen complains and flames from you,
nothing constructive (beside the patch you just send). If you
keep on being so imature you will face the same allmighty boot
Enrico Weigelt did.

So, either, send a patch to fix this issue or request it nicely
like everyone else too.
