The reactions were quite nice i would like to proceed further with this now.

There is one thing left for discussion:
As i talked about this suboption parser with Attila he got the idea of putting
it into a subdir of main named (lib)mphelper (or similar). The good side of
that would be that the main dir wouldn't get cluttered up further. There is
also other stuff in there that probably could get moved to a subdir of it's
own. But that's a different story.

So what do you other devels think about putting the suboption parser into a
extra directory for helper functions.
