How is that not already available through MPlayer OS X?  So what about
trying to create a GUI that is (more or less) universally portable,
using e.g. GTK?  We need a good GUI on Windows as well as on Mac OS X
and a better Unix GUI would be welcome as well.  Why duplicate effort?
