PS: I'm still out home and I cannot investigate properly the issue. To 
avoid the uglyness of undef __vector is enough place the #include 
<altivec.h> as the latest include in the file.

I'm not sure yet the code I patched is working, al3x did you try it on 
gcc-3.4.0 locally?
