This sentence doesn't make much sense. What should we report? I guess
Gentoo-related bugs, but what does it have to do with -r2? And why don't
you patch your MPlayer so that it outputs a slighlty different version
string like the RPM-packaged version does:
MPlayer 1.0pre5-RPM-3.2.2 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team

I believe it's your job to forward any non-gentoo related patches you
apply here, not the other way around.
