some sort of automatic dvd2divx-script based on mplayer/mencoder, which(i 
think) is the same goal as the other 2 scripts. although i am very aware 
that by automating you must give up some quality, it's certainly something 
that beginners want to have. and since there are some features that i 
think are important (such as (automated) crop and a non-fixed final 
filesize) and that i can't find in the other 2 scripts, i've tried to 
write them myself. 
i have taken a look at makedivx.sh and i've seen that i have a lot to 
learn, but i wrote that it is far from finished.

(if this is better suited at the mplayer-users list, say so, i'm far from 
a developer, but i just noticed that the makedivx.sh was posted here, 
so i did as well).
