  Hi,

  I'm not sure if this is appropriate, since I'm not a developer, but
  some time back this patch was posted to the mplayer-user list. AFAIK,
  he never posted it to this list.

  Anyway, I've been using it since he posted it with no problems. The
  problem it fixes is fairly minor, just annoying. Could someone please
  check it and apply it if it's OK? Thanks, and apologies if I'm out of
