why not puting the speed-stepping on some ctrl+arrows or ctrl+mousewheel ?
this would definetely be a cool feature! 

(i hope to be able at some point to save those videos seen at different 
speeds, while seeing them! =)


i am really glad to see such an active developer community! don't hesitate to 
tell me if i bother you with stupid suggestions or ideas.
