I took the freedom to rework Dermot's patch; the result is attached.
The pros are: it's much simpler than the original, all cosmetics are 
removed and
it doesn't add a new, useless (at least for the moment) demuxer; if it's 
needed
it can be still be added later. In addition it should work with any mux 
type.

the cons are:
it's totally untested, how can I test it?  :)
it doesn't include the patch to LIVE's demux_rtp.cpp yet, so it *should* 
work only
with the mcast code in network.c

Opinions?
