I disagree. The -a/-o syntax is already used in some places, so it would
at least create consistency. I also don't think that it is more
obfuscated anyway...

Now, slow down. I agree that Diego is a bit too fast sometimes for my
taste, too (probably caused by the fact that I am quite slow).
But I have to say that
1) the previous mails IMHO were neither very clear or helpful,
so this "threat" is a way to get clearer responses
2) AFAICT diego is the one who works most on the configure script, so I
personally consider him almost the "maintainer" of it.
