How are those broken with strict-aliasing? Are the problems
reproducible using gcc 4.0.1? If I can reproduce the problems I could
try fixing them. The files I tested with which used those libraries
worked fine.

libfaad2/ic_predict.c has obviously unsafe code, but I didn't hear
errors in AAC audio even without fixing that (found it by compiler
warnings).
