Hmm, I guess I could do that. :-)
Actually, since I couldn't find a mpeg stream analyzer (execpt
dvbsnoop, which is rather incomplete for pes streams), I hacked up
my own dumper.
BTW, the problem that triggered this is as follows:
Up till now I've been transcoding 24000/1001 fps material to 25fps
PAL, which of course involves a notable (~halftone) sound pitch
change (PAL-speedup). Now, that the muxer supports softtelecine,
I tried to make a NTSC disc, but dvdauthor wouldn't accept the
stream generated by mencoder -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd:telecine
(Lots of "WARN: audio sector out of range: -12657 (vobu #197,
pts 55.146)" messages). Interestingly enough, if I dump the video
and audio streams and remultiplex with mplex, it works. And of
course I'd like to skip the last step. :-)
